I have tabled a motion and long advocated
to upgrade the interchange at Highway 400
and Steeles Avenue to a full interchange in
order to improve traffic on our local roads. I
have consulted with both the City of Toronto
and Vaughan, and I have again formally asked
the Minister of Transportation to provide an
update on future plans for this interchange
and look forward to their response.
As well, I have called on the Government
to develop a plan, in consultation with the
City of Toronto, impacted communities, and
stakeholders, to install a sound barrier to
reduce noise pollution and associated issues
affecting residents living adjacent to Highway
400 along Torbarrie Road in Toronto.
