Keeping goods moving

I have written to the Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement and the Minister of Transportation to express concerns raised during the transition of the IRP services that allow truck drivers and carriers to keep goods moving across our Canadian Provinces and beyond.

These drivers and carriers are facing significant delays in the processing of their applications at a time when the industry is already grappling with economic pressures and workforce shortages.

The backlog of application and renewal services are now taking months instead of days to process. I have asked that these delays be immediately addressed and additional resources provided to support the trucking industry with the IRP transition.
